Soft PVC is used in the surface layer of floor, ceiling and leather commonly, but because soft PVC contains softener, easy to become brittle, not easy to preserve, so its use range was limited.Hard PVC does not contain softener, good flexibility, easy to form, not easy to be brittle, non-toxic and pollution-free, long preservation time, so it has great development and application value.

General performance PVC resin is a white or light yellow powder, the relative density of 1.35-1.45.The degree of softness and hardness of the product can be adjusted by adding the fraction of plasticizer.Pure PVC has little water absorption and air permeability.
Mechanical properties PVC has higher hardness and mechanical properties.It increases with the increase of molecular weight, but decreases with the increase of temperature.The mechanical property of rigid PVC is good, and its elastic modulus can reach 1500-3000mpa.The elasticity of soft PVC is 1.5-15 MPa.But the elongation at break is as high as 200%-450%.The frictional nature of PVC is general, static friction because of 0.4-0.5, dynamic friction factor is 0.23.
Thermal performance of PVC thermal stability is very poor, 140℃ began to decompose, melting temperature of 160℃.The linear expansion coefficient of PVC is small, it is difficult to burn, the oxidation index is as high as 45 above.
Electrical properties PVC is a polymer with better electrical properties, but due to its greater polarity, electrical insulation is not as good as PP and PE.Dielectric constant, dielectric loss Angle tangent value and volume resistivity, corona resistance is not good, generally suitable for low and medium voltage and low frequency insulation materials.
Environmental performance PVC can withstand most inorganic acid, alkali, salt, most organic solvents.Suitable for medicine, chemical anti-corrosion materials.
