There are many types of UHMW-PE boards on the market, and the quality is uneven. But how do you identify high quality ultra high molecular weight polyethylene wear plates from these products?
For most users, this should be the most concerned issue.
1. Bending and Decomposing Method: Cutting a small strip of product and then repeatedly folding the UHMW-PE sheet by hand, which has excellent toughness and will not break if broken into other products.
2. Nail scraping method: The closest product to ultra high molecular weight polyethylene sheet is high density polyethylene liner, which can only be distinguished by scratching. Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene wear plates have higher molecular weight and higher hardness.
High density polyethylene sheets are less rigid. If it is scratched with a nail, it is a high density polyethylene board.
3. Water float method: The specific gravity of the ultra high molecular weight polyethylene wear liner should be 0.93-0.98. It should float in the water. If it is submerged in water, it is neither an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene sheet.
